After spending several years on the Queensland tennis circuit, Ryan decided to turn his hand to one of the therapies that had served him well during his playing days, Acupuncture. He began his studies at the Australian College of Natural Medicine in early 2004. By late 2006, Ryan had completed an Advanced Diploma in Acupuncture and in mid 2008 finished his Bachelors Degree in Acupuncture and Certificate IV in TCM remedial massage.
Realising the efficacy acupuncture has in treating these conditions, especially when used in conjunction with other manual therapies, Ryan returned to the books. At the start of 2009, Ryan began a second Bachelors Degree, this time majoring in Musculoskeletal Therapy. At the newly named Endeavour College, this course gives the therapist advanced knowledge and hands on skills to observe, assess, and develop an effective treatment plan utilising many remedial therapy interventions. His successful progression through this course is indicative of his passion for treating such conditions.
Since his graduation Ryan has spent the majority of his time treating musculoskeletal pain and complaints. Utilising his personal understanding of many injuries and conditions, he has been able to treat each individual with knowledge and empathy. Other conditions Ryan has a specific interest in include digestive complaints, stress management, anxiety and depression, insomnia and arthritis.
